Unwind After A Long Day

I've been there – caught up in a busy day with barely enough time to think!

If your hectic life is anything like mine, the only time I tend to find for myself is late at night, after my son is fast asleep.

Easy Ways to Unwind to Get to My "Happy" Place

  • Take time to breathe or meditate – Deep abdominal breathing, meditation and prayer are proven to moderate stress and help the body relax. Inhale slowly and count to five as you start to feel the stress begin to melt away – repeat for total relaxation.
  • Treat yourself to something in moderation – Enjoy a glass of red wine, a few of your favorite HERSHEY'S KISSES Brand SPECIAL DARK Dark Chocolates or simply watch 30 minutes of television.
  • Sounds cliché, but fill up that tub and take a nice long bubble bath – close the door and finally enjoy the bathroom to yourself. For an added indulgence, add some lavender, it slows the nervous system and promotes relaxation.1
  • Reconnect with my friends – whether it is catching up over email, on Facebook or actually picking up the phone. Nothing feels better than reconnecting with someone you haven't caught up with in a while!
